Chapter 11 in Advertising to Children, 2014, pp 199-217 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter we will consider children’s ability to distinguish an advertisement in different contexts, on television and on web pages. By ‘distinguish’ we mean not only the ability to identify an advertisement but also the ability to avoid mistaking something else (e.g., a television programme) as an advertisement.
