Chapter 2 in Beyond the Business Plan, 2013, pp 13-25 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract If you seek advice about starting a new venture it is very likely that you will be told that you need a business plan, especially if you describe your new venture as a business. There is very widespread agreement that a business plan is essential for a new venture (see Illustration 2.1) and therefore the first guidance this book considers is the business plan. However, Chapter 3 suggests that this view is wrong and that business plans are often not helpful for new ventures.
