Chapter 2 in Innovating in a Service-Driven Economy, 2015, pp 10-21 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Given the changes that are explained in Chapter 1, we need to think of a new way to explain the firm and how to respond to these trends of a dynamic, service-based, global, digital marketplace — an Amazon economy. This requires firms to move away from a statically structured organization toward a more integrated view of the firm with its network of customers, suppliers, and stakeholders alongside a more flexible view of the market. Our research has led us to develop the Service Innovation Triangle.1
