Chapter 13 in The Theory and Practice of Systematic Staff Selection, 1986, pp 264-277 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract So far this book has dealt with a variety of issues within the general area of personnel selection. Previous chapters have provided information on the preparatory work needed for any efficient selection system, including conducting job analyses, the preparation of personnel specifications and the development of criterion measures. Different types of selection methods (for example, interviews and psychological tests) have also been dealt with in some detail and general issues such as the validity, utility and fairness of selection procedures have been covered.
