Abstract:
Abstract The area of resource management has been given increasing attention in recent years as organizations have begun to realize the importance of planning for supply markets as well as planning for the markets for their own products. Resource management is concerned with the planning and control of the acquisition of the necessary goods and services for the company to remain in business. In many companies this activity has now become an important part of the strategic planning process, and this has been reflected in an increase in the professionalism of the purchasing function within the organization, and an enhanced role for purchasing management.
