Abstract: Abstract Perivale Gütermann Limited is the fourth largest manufacturer of sewing threads in the United Kingdom with a sales turnover of £3 million per annum, following English Sewing Cotton, J. & P. Coats Ltd, and Barbour Threads. English Sewing Cotton and J. & P. Coats together control 90 per cent of the thread market. The company is located in Perivale, Middlesex and manufactures a range of threads for industrial and domestic use. It has 300 staff of whom 130 are machine operators. The distribution operates through a warehouse at Perivale in the factory premises and through depots at Manchester, Leeds and Nottingham.
