Hypermachines
Chris Harris
Chapter Chapter 14 in Hyperinnovation, 2002, pp 199-216 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Productivity across the SwarmNet, can, of course, take a giant leap through the use of information technology. But this is not merely about productivity-enhancing tools per se. Information technology merely scratches the surface. The core of the issue here, is the effective collaboration and multidimensional thinking within both home teams, and wider collaborative alliances outside the fold. This last chapter in this part details a basic functional model that goes some way to achieving that goal, something I have coined a ‘hypermachine’. It covers the four cornerstones of such hypermachines, including, (1) idea leverage tools, (2) collaborative technologies, (3) team interface technologies, and (4) virtual reality simulation tools.
