Abstract:
Abstract Asia has generally had a bad press when it comes to ethical issues; corruption, counterfeiting, intellectual property rights and so on have all been well publicised. In these cases, Western firms generally class themselves as the victims. But there is another set of ethical issues where they themselves run the risk of being seen as the guilty parties, and these concern their responsibility for the damage to the natural and human resources of the region.
