Reputation as performance art

Chapter Chapter 6 in Winning Reputations, 2002, pp 104-112 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that only 7% of the impact we make on people is shaped by the content of what we say, whereas 93% of the impression we make is determined by a mixture of body language and appearance (55%) and the remainder by the sound of our voice (38%). Sound and vision matter more than patter.
