Abstract:
Abstract Our examination has shown that the image of the universal bank has passed through a number of historical changes and been influenced by various factors. The question as to whether it may in principle be reduced can be answered as follows: something that has grown over the course of time can degenerate during a process of contraction, but the question is whether it is still the same thing? If so, the falseness of the claim to being a provider of allembracing, universal expertise becomes blatantly obvious. The result is of a different order.
