Abstract: Abstract This text comprises a selection of papers that focus on recent developments in the financial sector and drawn from the European Association of University Teachers of Banking and Finance Conference (otherwise known as the Wolpertinger Conference) held at the Università di Roma III, Italy in September 2009. The text is divided into four topical themes that cover: management, innovation and technology in the financial sector; efficiency and productivity; consolidation and finally various corporate governance issues.
