A reflection on the first mitigating policies of the impact of Covid-19 on employment

Abstract:
In this article, I present a survey of the first policy answers to the pandemica crisis of Covid-19. This survey focuses on the effects on employment and working conditions, because the pandemic shock is just a direct shock on labour supply. As a result, it is a supply and demand shock at the same time. I discuss the recommendations of the International Labour Organization in terms of the design and implementation of labour market policies, in developed, emerging, and developing countries. A section on the employment impacts of the pandemic and the future of work closes the article.
