Prospects of introduction in Ukraine of budgetary passenger railway transportations

Abstract: In the article, referring to experience of airlines, introduction on the railway transport of budgetary passenger transportations is argued. An author, referring to experience of foreign railway companies, explores the prospects of realization in Ukraine of the offered business-model, in fact competition in the field of passenger transportations requires application of more flexible tariff plans from ferrymen. It is marked that an attempt to decrease losses from passenger transportations was a primary purpose in introduction of budgetary tariff plans. Among directions of decline of cost of passenger railway transportations introduction is selected to exploitation of more cheap rolling stock, diminishment to the level of comfort, sale of tickets through the network Internet, absence of no type assets, minimum state of employees and others like that. It is marked that the prime price of transportations at the simultaneous increase of amount carried passengers diminishes due to decreasing operating expenses. Realization of the offered business-model in realization of passenger railway transportations will allow to promote the competitiveness of railway transport will create additional stimuli for the increase of efficiency of activity of participants of market of passenger transportations, will be instrumental in the increase of investment attractiveness of enterprises of railway transport. An author underlines that effectiveness of the noted approach is possible only at dense collaboration of state and private sectors of economy.
