Abstract: On the basis of walkthrough of going near determination of concept "financial potential" is specified determination "financial potential of administrative-territorial unit". The basic problems of his development are certain by the analysis of structure and dynamics of profitable part of local budgets and methodical recommendations are given to the evaluation of financial potential of ATU.
