Abstract: Successful operation of the railway transport enterprises in the current economic conditions is possible only with the use of lean production. The article identifies the particular implementation of the concept of "lean production" on the railway transport enterprises and generated model of its implementation. The proposed model contains the following steps: introduction of a system of 5S, TPM implementation, the introduction of sophisticated techniques of lean manufacturing, lean logistics. Proposed in the article the model allows the use of the concept of lean manufacturing is not just a set of techniques and methods, and as an integrated complex system that allows for simple implementation of all rules, to build not only economical enterprise, but the enterprise with a high level of culture.
