Abstract:
The aim of the article is to present the results of own study devoted to the economic valuation of SGH Warsaw School of Economics students’ privacy. The study was conducted before the entry into force of the GDPR. The questions presented a hypothetical market situation in which a customer is offered four categories of websites with various payment options (i.e. subscription, data sharing, watching commercials). The respondents declared which decisions they would have taken in the described situations. The study confirmed the hypothesis that personal income does not determine the attitude of young consumers in the protection of their privacy.
