Abstract: Abstract The previous chapter aimed to give a qualitative overview of success and failure factors involved in renewable energy policies in various European cities. In the present chapter we will systematically compare across the various renewable energy technologies envisaged, the experienced and expected degrees to which these aspects act as a bottleneck or facilitate factors for the introduction or success of these technologies. In addition, we aim to compare also the potentials of these technologies to contribute positively to urban sustainability.
