Abstract: Abstract The paper is a continuation of our previous work on the controllability problems of a slowly rotating Timoshenko beam. The optimal control problem for this system is stated and the numerical method of obtaining its solution is given. Our approach is based upon the use of a special character of functions generating a corresponding moment problem.
