Abstract:
Abstract The digital economy is gradually taking precedence all over the world and as such research into the field is on the rise. Everyday life hinges upon the digital economy, thereby making it relevant for discussion and investigation. By addressing the bibliometric research deficit from an international literature perspective, this study explores the thematic evolution and the state of digital economy in Russia with respect to the internationally accredited scientific database—Scopus. The study gives an overview of research beginning from 2014 to 2018 on the theme of the digital economy in Russia, contributes to literature in the field and makes recommendations for future longitudinal studies as well as to policymakers.
