Abstract: There are three parts to this. The first is simply all the second author thought he knew about bell ringing when he started this column (not much). The next is an interview with the first author, who has lived at least three lives: as ringer, as mathematician, and as educator. The final part is about a change-ringing puzzle form recently invented by Mark Davies and explored mathematically by Stan Wagon.
