Chapter 8 in Measuring Productivity in Education and Not-for-Profits, 2021, pp 119-131 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter explains how an adaptation to the TI method can allow more direct comparisons across institutions through a calculation of absolute productivity. The tutorial builds from the case study used in Chaps. 4 and 5 . It shows how a feature scaling technique can open the door for absolute productivity calculation and applies threshold analysis to the transformed data. The chapter concludes by discussing further implications and benefits of interpreting a single set of data through multiple lenses.
