The Automated Future
David Miller ()
Chapter 5 in Managing Agile Business Technology, 2022, pp 89-102 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In absolute terms the endgame and the possible routes forward are uncertain and so the first section of this chapter considers the general relevance of the BTRM using a number of different future scenarios. The following sections then consider what can be done in the shorter term and six pathways of opportunity are considered for a business wishing to exploit learning algorithms and other non-conscious intelligence to enhance Active Management and Governance. A section is devoted to each of these. Section two looks at the validation of the technology supply chains, section three, detecting patterns, section four, language and interpretation, section five, ethics and bias, section six, misunderstandings, inconsistency, and misrepresentation, and section seven, ‘Very Agile’.
