Chapter 7 in Leadership for a Digital World, 2022, pp 49-58 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Key features of the RenDanHeYi approach include achieving “zero distance” to users and seeing them as co-creators; seeing employees as entrepreneurs and “dynamic partners”; delegating power to autonomous teams called microenterprises, supported by functional platforms; and creating “ecosystem microcommunities” that are open to global resources, both external and internal, thereby focusing these resources on users’ needs. Digital technology is leveraged both in operations and in IoT product offerings, and a “pay-by-user” compensation model rewards people based on actual value created.
