A chapter in Life Science Management, 2022, pp 3-12 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Dr. Andreas Föller is a trained medical doctor and medical expert as well as a business economist. For more than 30 years he has been working with top managers, executives, and experts in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector as consultant and as headhunter. Identifying and recruiting top talents who have the skills and personality to turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities are his profession and passion. In his contribution, Dr. Föller points out what makes life sciences a special sector and traces its development of the past three decades with its implications on the labor market and the recruiting process. He grants anecdotal insights on headhunting and tells a brief history of searching and finding exclusive executives. From precise observations and diagnoses, he derives his predictions about crucial key areas of forthcoming change in life sciences and what they will require from future leaders.
