Abstract: Abstract Biotechnology as a cross-sectional technology offers a wide range of benefits. We are familiar with applications in the fields of health, nutrition, cosmetics, or environmental protection, but also in automotive engineering. The developments and discussions in the field of the bioeconomy also bear this out. The results of research and development offer many opportunities for the establishment of a new company. Important for the success of such a technology company is detailed planning and a good business concept. The chapter provides an overview of the topic of setting up a company in the life science sector. The different aspects of such a foundation are described.
