A chapter in Life Science Management, 2022, pp 13-28 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders agree that venture capital is a very important element of the innovation pipeline in the life sciences industry (Karpa & Grginović, 2020; Ford & Nelsen, 2014)., However, securing funding at the very beginning of the life sciences innovation pathway is challenging and requires a deep understanding of the investment strategies used by venture capitalists. In turn, this requires a closer look at this type of financing and its investment criteria.
