A chapter in Life Science Management, 2022, pp 89-101 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The potential of digitalisation and artificial intelligence is opening a new chapter in all areas of the healthcare system. This is especially true for hospitals. For a long time, a reluctance to introduce digital applications prevailed here compared to other industries. However, digitalisation strategies have now reached management levels, and in many cases are being implemented. The hospital of the future will be fundamentally different from familiar patient care institutions. In this chapter, the potential for change in the hospital of the future is presented, and implementation options are outlined.
