Quality Management Trends

Timothy Adesanya Ibidapo ()

Chapter 4 in From Industry 4.0 to Quality 4.0, 2022, pp 77-115 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The tremendous progress made in quality, especially over the last half of the twentieth century, has created great awareness among the people of the world. People have thus realized how important quality has grown to become in their own individual lives. There is no doubt therefore that quality shall continue to revolve around man – his life, socio-economic, and political activities to help preserve his resources and ensure his needs are handy. Hence, quality shall continue to increasingly serve most effectively as a bridge linking man with the various facets of his life – healthcare, technology, education and training, transportation, risk management, etc. The integration of quality in our lives will continue to gain more grounds year in and year out especially with increased risks and exposure to environmental pollution, extreme weather conditions, climate change, and other unexpected disruptive factors of life.
