Abstract:
Abstract A mass casualty and mass fatality incident occurs when first responders are overwhelmed and outnumbered by the number of people injured or dead. A jurisdiction needs to be prepared for and to cope effectively with a mass casualty and mass fatality incident. They need to know how to adjust responses based on the type of disaster, and how to triage, treat, and transport victims.
