Abstract:
Abstract Designing an OpLog system, implementing it, and adjusting it according to changing conditions in the theater of operations depend on updated, relevant, and reliable information. Logistic information is derived from quantitative and qualitative data that must be filtered, processed, and routed in accordance to the logistician’s needs. The quantitative data include inventory levels, transportation capabilities such as the load capacity of a convoy, time parameters such as force accumulation time, service rates of maintenance and medical units, and consumption rates. Qualitative data regarding the identity, condition, and location of logistic assets is typically contained in situation reports.
