Abstract:
Abstract This contribution outlines regulations regarding the protection of historical buildings, redevelopment law and preservation statutes and describes compensatory subsidies available in the form of tax benefits and/or grants. The article evaluates German regulations and public supports available for monument protection and modernization from an international perspective.
