Abstract:
Abstract Since around 2001–2002 there has been a growing emphasis on the issues of information and data quality. The five most important challenges, which gave rise to the awareness of the importance of this are: Today a number of IT-supported solutions exist. The most noticeable is called “Data Profiling”. Data profiling tools may be standalone solutions but most of them are built into a package of software products, not least database product packages.
