Chapter 1 in Disinformation Attacks On Businesses, 2026, pp 3-5 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter describes the case of entrepreneur Hazim Nada, whose thriving trading company, LORD Energy, was destroyed in 2017 by a targeted disinformation campaign. Nada became caught in the crossfire of a geopolitical PR battle between Gulf states. As a result of widespread false reports, banks refused to grant loans, LORD Energy went bankrupt, and Nada lost around 100 million USD.
