Chapter 6 in Storytelling in Organizations, 2018, pp 49-97 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The procedural steps described in this chapter illustrate a well-established variant of the storytelling method that has been continuously updated, modified and optimized by the expert team of NARRATA Consult. Before delving into the individual steps of the procedure, three fundamental questions will be answered that are typically raised by users of the storytelling method: “Can the sequence of several procedural steps really result in an interesting learning history?”, “Who utilizes storytelling in an organization?” and “How long does the storytelling method take?”. Subsequently, every phase of the storytelling procedure (planning, interviewing, extracting, writing, validation, dissemination and evaluation) is described in detail, illustrated by many practical examples.
