Fundamentals of the Digital Transformation

Lars Michael Bollweg ()

Chapter 5 in Data Governance for Managers, 2022, pp 103-112 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The previous chapters of this book have focused on the organizational structure of Data Governance and the professionalization of Data Management. It has already been shown many times that modern Data Governance can be much more powerful than just professionally managing the creation, use, maintenance, and deletion of data. In this fourth part and the following chapters, after a theoretical foundation, it will be shown in very practical terms how the services of Data Governance anchored in the company’s business architecture can be used, e.g., with the help of data-driven value stream optimization as a driver for the digital transformation of a company.
