Abstract:
Abstract Production systems can be categorized as push, pull and hybrid, depending on the type of planning strategy they utilize. This chapter aims to give an overview of two main production systems, push and pull, and to highlight the key differences between them. A literature review on pull production control systems is also presented at the end of the chapter.
