Chapter 5 in Production Control Systems, 2016, pp 37-61 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, three pull production control systems, Kanban, CONWIP, and Base-stock are analyzed in serial production lines using the theory of token transaction systems. We provide an analytical comparison among those three control systems in a serial production line having two or more workstations, followed by a set of numerical experiments.
