Abstract: Abstract JD.com has become the largest and one of the most successful cross-border e-commerce platforms in the world in less than 20 years. Leveraging his vast trading experience and technological advancement, Richard Liu transformed a small retail shop into a multifaceted global corporation, offering same-day delivery to customers worldwide. Today, JD.com allows merchants to reach millions of customers and provides warehousing and logistics services for famous brands. The company has succeeded in major infrastructure development, and its research and development department has placed the company among the most advanced in the world. Using knowledge and artificial intelligence (AI) systems, JD.com continuously adjusts its business strategies to fit the current business environment. In addition to its outsourcing delivery and logistic activities, JD continuously focuses on developing smart technologies and logistic networks, and the company provides these services for foreign brands. To further advance its operations, JD.com expanded its product portfolio to include a wide range of consumer products, including essentials.
