Abstract:
Abstract The German Energiewende is a substantial project posing many challenges. One is the maintainance of grid quality and stability that can be met by demand side management. Our research interest within the innovation cluster ER-WIN® is to estimate the economic potential of demand side management from the perspective of a producing company. Therefore, we modelled the production scheme of a case example, namely a sand processing facility, as a Mixed-Integer-Program. This paper presents how we integrated continuous and discontinuous processes while preserving a satisfactory computing time.
