Abstract: Abstract As the pilot university of Ministry of Education’s “excellent engineer education and training program”, Information and Software Engineering College of University of Electronic Science and Technology combines the goal of national information construction to cultivate outstanding engineering talents. The college has made explorations in six aspects of cultivation concept innovation, cultivation team construction, cultivation method reform, teaching resource integration, practical teaching strengthening, and teaching management reform, in order to make a characteristic road which is suitable for the software talent cultivation of the college, and foster a batch of high-level and compound-type software professionals with strong engineering capabilities, international perspective and systematic thinking capabilities.
