To support business management in the current environmental challenges, the book develops a comprehensive framework that aims to support the effective implementation of environmental strategy, highlighting tools and model to translate strategy into action and encouraging a systematic monitoring of the achieved results through appropriate control system. By examining issues ranging from theory to practical application in environmental sustainability, the book contributes to the field of corporate social responsibility, accounting and strategic management studies highlight opportunities, criticalities and the future perspectives in the emerging and consolidated studies of corporate environmental strategies; also it suggests implications for practitioners to support an evolution of sustainable business practices considering simultaneously the accountability to a wide range of firm’s internal and external actors.
