Abstract: Abstract The story of this book began almost 30 years ago. We had considerable experience from working jointly with graduate students. However, we felt that many of them lacked understanding and guidance regarding how to publish in international peer reviewed journals. While the three of us were collaborating on a research paper about human choice behavior and trying to publish it, it occurred to us that we should publish our laborious but not necessarily atypical experience. The process was long, but eventually resulted in success. As a result of this experience, we decided to produce a monograph to share our experience with our graduate students. We called the draft of our monograph “The Rocky Road to Publishing in the Management and Decision Sciences”.
