Chapter Chapter 3 in Knowledge Technology, 2021, pp 23-38 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract It has been a long time since the development of the human–computer cooperation system began. This chapter first introduces the historical transition of the decision support system. The rest of this chapter is devoted to an introduction to some selected integrative knowledge technologies. They fall into three groups: the traditional systems approach, the creativity-stimulating approach, and the synthetic approach. Since the function of knowledge synthesis is insufficient in these approaches, this chapter introduces the knowledge construction systems methodology as a way to complement them. Finally, it invites the readers to proceed with Chaps. 4 to 7 , which will explain the current status and challenges of knowledge technologies.
