Plan the Project Even If You Start the Work at the Same Time

Abstract: Abstract Project managers often need to start working on a project before the planning is complete. This can be because of time pressure, like Brian’s project, or it can be caused by the project team being assigned before the planning is complete. In the latter case, the project manager needs to have work available to keep the team members busy even though planning is not complete. This is not an optimal situation, but it happens all the time.
