A chapter in Human-Centered Service Design for Healthcare Transformation, 2023, pp 285-294 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract John F. Kennedy shouted out with great motivation that they had chosen to go to the moon, not because it is easy, but because it is hard. Truly committed healthcare transformation agents foster transformation not because it is easy, but because it is hard AND necessary. Accompanying the senior physician Andrea Imhof, you will learn what the effects of design sprints are at core process transformation. Design Sprints do not need as often referred to, a sprinters attitude to transform healthcare. It is much more an interplay of a marathon-like endurance and the sprinter's energy to fulfill the nowadays requirement for transformation. Based on the approach of Design Thinking Design Sprints help to increase the resilience of solutions, raise the height of innovation and provoke team medicine, which is so much needed to address the emerging complexity of today’s patients.
