Abstract: Abstract Research and teaching are two central components of scientific work. In addition, many scholars invest significant amounts of time and effort into service to scientific community, department and university. For many years, an important part of Gabriele Kaiser’s contributions to mathematics education has been her service as editor-in-chief of ZDM—Mathematics Education. In this short paper, we acknowledge Gabriele Kaiser’s outstanding contribution as editor-in-chief of the journal ZDM— Mathematics Education.
