Chapter 18 in Handbuch Strategisches Personalmanagement, 2011, pp 335-351 from Springer
Abstract:
Zusammenfassung Intraorganizational trust may enhance organizational performance in a number of ways. The implicit role of trust in coordination and control of various organizational tasks has been observed by many researchers, facilitating, for example, knowledge transfer processes (Dekker/Krackhardt/Frances 2002; Roberts 2000; Rolland/Chauvel 2000), improving organizational efficiency and productivity (Bradach/Eccles 1998; Lane/Buchmann 1998; Lui/Ngo 2004; Ouchi, 1980; Ring/van de Ven 1992; Sako/Helper 1998) and thus, decreasing transactional costs (Butter/Mosch 2003; Chiles/McMackin 1996).
