Abstract:
Abstract Barriers to using mobile payment technology are a significant impediment to users adopting new technologies. Barriers can be defined as the consumer’s opposition to any innovation. The barriers to using mobile payment technology will, therefore, be described in this chapter. Several theories that influence the adoption of mobile payment technology such as innovation resistance theory and the theory of planned behavior will be addressed.
