A chapter in Information Systems Research in Vietnam, Volume 3, 2025, pp 15-32 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Various studies highlighted that startup founders lack general HR competencies which impact the success of startups negatively. The recruitment technology has changed the entire process already. Digital recruitment methods, such as online job platforms, social media, and virtual interviews are sustainable tools for accessing a diverse pool of candidates and enhancing inclusivity. However, acceptance of technology is still one of the biggest challenges for women entrepreneurs, especially the small-scale business owners in Vietnam. This book chapter aims to enhance the understanding of women entrepreneurs (WEs) and digital hiring practices to reveal what prevailing obstacles WEs face with transit into digital transformation for their organizational resilience. Furthermore, how the adoption of digital hiring tools and sustainable hiring can result in strategic resilience, which ultimately makes businesses resilient. The major motivation of this chapter is to illustrate our perspective on the linkage between WEs, the adoption of digital hiring technology, business resilience, and their challenges, so we can enrich the knowledge to bring positive change to society. This book chapter covers an in-depth literature analysis of the digital hiring challenges faced by WEs, the conceptualization of resilience, and the exploration of the relationship between digital hiring and business resilience and calls for future research for the validation of these relationships. By harnessing the power of technology, WEs can reshape traditional hiring practices, create diverse and resilient workforces, and enhance organizational resilience. The research can contribute to creating a better understanding of technology-enabled work processes for WEs through valuable insights.
