Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of the survey study is to understand the current business use of blockchain technology in New Zealand organisations. Over the past five years or so, an increasing number of organisations have become increasingly interested in blockchain technology. However, very few blockchain studies have been conducted in New Zealand organisations. A survey of New Zealand businesses using blockchain was conducted to look at the use of blockchain in New Zealand. Several propositions have been proposed accordingly. This is an exploratory study to understand the current and expected use of blockchain technology, the main reasons of applying blockchain, and barriers to further investment in blockchain. The results provide insights into the future blockchain research.
